ERUPTION OF VESUVIUS.

PRINCIPAL CRATER VERY ACTIVE. Received April 9. 8.31 a.m. ROME, April 8. The principal crater of Vesuvius is very active. The inhabitants of tbe villages around the mountain are moving their property. They did not sleep on Friday night. A lava current is surrounding Bosco-Trecase. A new aperture in the mountain has appeared. (Bosco-Trecase lies at the southern base of the mountain, and is twelve milej south east of Naples. It has a population of nearly 9,000).
