THE 'VARSITY BOAT RACE.

CAMBRIDGE FAVOURITES. Received April 7, 1.24 a.m. LONDON, April 6. The betting in the 'Varsity boat race is nine to four on Cambridge. The Hon. W. Hall Joiiph has informed the Chairman of the Midland Railway Committee that specifications and tender forms for the Summit tunnel are almost completed and will, he thinks, be finished in time to be sent to London by the outgoing 'Frisoo mail. Tenders will be advertised at Home and in the colony. The date for closing tenders will be some time in June. DR.
