EGG-LAYING.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 2. Tho statement for the 48th week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's Egg-laying Competition, at Lincoln College, shows that 236 eggs were laid during the week, making a total to date of 29,534. The beat totals for the week were:— £l. llawke's Silver Wyandottes 24. W. B. Cowiishaw'a Black Orpingtons 17, R. E. M. Evana' Silver Wyaudottes 15. The higheat totals to date are:—H. Hawke's Silver Wyandottes 1,206, J. 11. Shaw's Brown Leghorns 1,002, J. Mann's White Wyandottes 974. „
