FARMERS' UNION.
MASTERTON BRANCH.
A meeting of the Maaterton Branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union was held on Saturday afternoon. Mr W. Perry presided, and there were about twelve members present. A circular from the Wellington Provincial Exeoutive body, regarding the imposing of subscriptions on a graduated scale, was held over for discussion until the annual meeting. A letter was received from the Eketahuna Branch suggesting that a conference of committees from the Masteiton, Pahiatua and Eketahuna branches should be held with a view to discussing the advisableness of forming s fat stock market. Messrs D. McGregor, junr., W. L. Falooner, and J. G. JJagg were appointed a oommittee to attend the conference. It was decided to co-operate with the Gladstone Branch in their suggestion that branoh secretaries should be supplied with all information concerning the quantity and olass of stock and grain that each member had for sale. This was considered to be of great importance to members who wished to dispose of their stock or grain.
