CLOSING RAILWAY GOODSHEDS.

WELLINGTON, March 19,

A deputation from the Employers' Association waited on the Acting Minister of Railways to-day, to protest against the closing of the railway good sheds, at 4.30 o'clock, instead of 5 o'clock. The Minister said he had received a letter from the carters opposing the ohange back to o p.m. as the closing hour. They stated that they were not paid overtime if they were detained after 5 p.m. He would carefully consider the representations of the deputation.
