WAIRARAPA v. HAWKE'S BAY. EASY WIN FOR WAIRARAPA. The above match was concluded on the Park Oval yesterday, and resulted in a decisive victory for the dome team by an innings and 62 runs. The weather was again beautiful, and the wioket played well. Wairarapa added 39 runs to their overnight ocore before they were all disposed of, Maunsell carrying his bat for the creditable score of 156.
in their first innings Hawke'sßay made a very poor stand, only compiling 83 runs, this being due to the fine bowling of Maunaell, whose six wiokets Co9fc him only 13 runß. In their second attempt they looked like averting a one innings defeat. Lusk compiled 73 runs by good cricket, and the other principal scorers for the team wore Goldsmith 2% and Hughes 23. Messrs W. H. L., Galwey and E. Oollinge again carried out the duties of umpires in a satisfactory manner.
