At the Motueka Licensing Com-' mitteo meeting it was decided to defer applications for the renewal of the licenses of two houses at Mo« tueka till new buildings were in course of erectionj and up-to-date bouses were required. The police asked that the license of one country house should hot be renewed, as the lioeosee was not in a 01: condition to oonduot the house properly. The matter was deferred to enable a transfer to be made to a fit person.
