AN EXCITING EXPERIENCE.
BRISBANE, March 10., The township of Windorah (about 780 miles from Brisbane) is sur rounded by flood waters. A boat containing three men and provisions capsized. The Thompson River is in high flood, and the Longreach river is still rising slowly. The country adjoining is a vast expanse of water. Communication is out off, exoep t ing from the westward by boat. Provisi ns are scarce. Fifteen inches of rain has fallen atWinton (1,018 miles north west of Brisbane). Wheel trafflo has been suspended. Rations are scarce outside of the centres, pigweed being used as food. The railway from Normanton to Croydon is under water.
