WAIRARAPA AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.

WEEKLY SPORIS

The above Club held theii weekly runs ont he Park Oval, last evening. The events contested were the 100 jards and 250 yards handicaps. Mr E. H. Richards was starter, Mr S. N. Campbell ; {handicapper, and Messrs Chambers and Lyall judges. Result were as follows: 100 Yards'Handicap—J. Coradine 1, A. E. Wilton 2, A. C. Williams 3. Ten started. 250 Yards Handicap—A. C. Williams 1, G. W. Sellar and J. Bradbury dead heat 2. Members are reminded that acceptances for St Patrick's day sports and nominations for the Wellington Amateur Athletic Association sports, on March 24, close to-morrow, Saturday, March 10. The Club propose to enter a team for the Relay Race, and J. Bradbury will be the representative in the Mile Championship, besides which some six or seven members will compete in the open handicaps-at Wellington.
