FOOTBALL.
THE "ALLBLACKS,"
ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECEIVED IN WELLINGTON.
By Telegraph-- Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 9. The Southern members of the New Zealand football team arrived from the North by train to-night, and were given an enthusiastic welcome. They will be formerly received by the Mayor to-morrow, and three or four members of tha Crown will attend the function.
It is generally acknowledged by the New Zealand football team that the two best forwards m the New Zealand team were McDonald (Ofcago) and Seeling (Auckland), and that next to them comes Johnstone, Tyler and Casey. Mesara S. Kingdon and B. Iveson have presented a gold medal eaoh for competition amongst the Red Star Club's senior team during the coming season. Two medals have, also, been presented for the best back and best forward in the Club's third-class team.
