METHODIST CONFERENCE.

DUNEDIN, February 26.

At the Methodist Conference the alteration of the boundaries in the Auckland circuits wus referred to the Pitt Street and Manakau quarterly meetings. It was agreed to unite tbe Freeman's Bay aud Newtown missions. The following circuit divisions were approved of:— Hamilton, bead of new eirouit to be Huntly; Wanganui, headquarters Aramoho; Wellington, headquartera Johusonville. Tbe transfer of Bulls to thu Rangitikei circuit was approved. Carterton becomes the bead of the South Wairarapa eirouit. A minister is to bo appointed to Waiuku aud an additional one to Inveroargill; also Home Missionaries to Cbristchurcb, South Timaru, Otautau, Kaiteke, Mokau, Takapau, and Eivertioii. Married ministers are to be appointed to Petone* Jobnsonville and Motueka.

The report on the Chriatchurcb properties, which was adopted,, stated that the increase in the capital for the year was £22,000, making a total of £343,177. On this there was an indebtedness of only 13 per cent. Mr F. Smith, senr., had presented a pipe organ of the value of £ioo to the Blenheim church. The amount for which properties are insured in the Connexional Fund is £122,115. The Rev. H. Bull was re-appointed Connexional Secretary. Gratification was expressed at the work of Mr E. P. Blamries. The Bain bridge Memorial Church, at Rotcrua, is to cost £l2O, of which half is raised.
