ADULTERATION OF COLONIAL BUTTER.

COOPMAN AND SMITH AGAIN FINED. Received February 22, 10.45 p.m. Messrs Coopman and Young pleaded guilty to having in their possession a Queensland. box, to which a false trade description was applied. The Magistrate said it was only right to support the Australian Government's endeavour to keep colonial butter pure, and to protect the brand. He imposed the maximum penalty of £2O, with 25s costs.
