VAL VOUSDEN.
The second performance of Mr Val Vousden's season in Masterton drew a large audience to the Town Hall last'evening. A obapgo of programme was submitted, and ,Mr Vousden proved .himself a capable entertainer. The occupants of the pit were inclined to be noisy at the commencement of the performance, but after the chief performer had made a few sarcastic remarks concerning the offenders, they were quiet for the remainder of the evening. The test items given were Edgar Allen Foe's poem, "Never More"; imitations of a galloping horse; the sketcb "Mrs O'Rburke," during which the audience were kept in screams of laughter owing to the numerous local "hits"; and lastly, by special request, .Bracken's "Not Understood." The Marvellous Meldons upheld their reputation as clever musicians, their two appearances beiug enoored. A number of new moving pictures, thrown on the canvas, concluded an excellent outer tain uj en t. Mr Vousden. together with his company, will appear again this evening in the Town Hall, wnen a complete change of i programme is promised.
