Melbourne, was concluded to day, end-; ing in a nine wickets defeat of Manawatu. Manawatu were all disposed of for 83 in the second innings, leaving Melbourne 74 to get to win. This they did with the loss of one wicket. Armstrong took ten wickets for 29, and Butler three for 14.
