RACING.
MASTERTON RACING CLUB. AUTUMN MEETING. : The autumn race meeting of the Masterton Racing Club will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 29th and 30th, for which an attractive programme has been prepared. The Stewards have made a liberal dietri bution of the prize money, which totals 1,165 sovs, 630 sovs being awarded to the first day's events, and 535 sovs to the second day's races. The principal raue of the meeting, the Waipipi Cup, is run the first day, and receives '175 sovs, tht next in importance being the March Handicap, 100 sovs/ On the second day the Autumn Handicap, 120 sovs, is the best in value, the Telephone flandioap coming next with 85 flovs; the other events receive amounts varying from 50 to 75 sovs. Nominations for all events, except the Maiden Hack Race, close with the Secretary, Mr Thos. Duncan, Masterton, at 9.30 p.m., on Friday, Maroh 9th.
