MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Co., report at their stock sale, as above, a heavy yarding in sheep of all casses, no fats offering. Ewes fresh-conditioned and sound-mouthed met with a ready sale, but all aged or inferior sorts dragged, and mostly had to be dealt with privately. Wethers were not in such good demand, one large line failing to reach owners' reserve. In lambs we penned a few extra good lots, one in particular, being a line on account of Mr George Watson, of Homebush, making lis lid—a record for stores this season. Other pens of lambs according to quality, reached their value. Only a small line of young cattle came forward, these polling by private treaty. At the close of the sale, we only turned out one lot of sheep unsold. Best breeding ewes made 13s fed, others 10s 3d to lis 6d for medium, and 9s 4d down to' 8s for culls, best lambs lis lid, others 9s to 10s, shorn rape lambs to 9s 6d, medium and culls 7s 6d to 4s Id, snmll cattle 27s 6d, weaner pigs 6s 2d to 6s 6d.
