(From Our Own Correspondent). MAURIOEVILLE,' February 7. At the School Committee meeting, on the sth inst., it was agreed that a school pionio should be arranged for the 2nd of March, and that the teacher be instructed to send out subscription lista for edibles and cash in aid of the pionio. I learn that these lists are being rapidly tilled in. There is no doubt that our children are energetic By their exertions at iheir annual concert they have secured an increase to their library of 169 magazines, 155 books, and 8 classical volumes, besides some odd pictorial periodicals.
