EGG-LAYING.
THE UTILITY CLUB. OHRISTOHUROH, February 5. The statement for the 40th week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's Egg-layin* competition, at Lincoln College, shows that 584: eggs were laid during the week, making a total to date of 26,205. The following are the best totals for the week: —-W.\ B. Oowlishaw's Black Orpingtons,* 31; J. H. Shaw's Brown Leghorns, 28; P. 0. Hack's Silver Wyandottes, 27. The best totals to date are:—H. Hawke's Silver Wyandotes, 1,033; J. Mann'u White Wyandottes, 907; J. H. Shaw's Brown Leghorns, BUS: R. E. M. Evans' Silver Wyandottes, 823.
