It is reDorted at Johannesburg that Lord Selborne has informed the Earl of Elgin, Seoretary for the Colonies, that he will resign if the Government, yielding to Mr Smut's representations, decide aganist equal electoral districts in the Transvaal, with a view to giving the Boers' minority a preponderating influence in the Chamber. The Transvaal minerals output for 1905 was £22,688,675, including diamonds £92,278. The wages and salaries paid amounted to £8,996,121, including £5,660,493 paid to whites.
