TERRIBLE BUSH FIRE. THOUSANDS OP SHEEP DESTROYED. HEAVY DAMAGE TO CROPS AND GRASS. \ MANY FARMERS BURNED OUT. Received January 22, 9.52 d m. SYDNEY, January 22. Tbe whole district between Gorowa and Onloairn has been swept by a bush Are, which is supposed to have originated from a spark from a pipe or a match thrown down by a farm employee. The Are, under the influence of a blistering bot wind, sproad with marvellous rapidity. At one point the flames beat baok the mail train. Fortunately most of the wheat is harvested, but the damage to stock, crops and grass is heavy. Woolsheds, machinery, and buildings have been swept away, and a great many small farmers are burnt out, while at Brae Springs Station two thousand sheep perished. At Georgery West Station ten thousand acres were swept, and twelve hundred sheep were burnt. The fire was subdued ufc Calcairn.
