ELECTRIC LIGHTING \ SUCCESS. THE IRONSAND. NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 17. The New Plymouth Munioipal electric light plant received a first complete trial to-night, and was most satisfactory. The official opening will take place on Friday. The latest cable ad viae from London respecting the ironsand indioates the flotation of a strong company within a month. Obituary.-—Henry Jardine Crompton, aged, 65 years, after a protracted illness. The deceased was one of the oldest residents of the province, having resided on a farm at Okaura over 50 years.
