GREAT SCARCITY OF LABOUR.
IN TARANAKI. FARMING OPERATIONS HAMPERED. DAIRY HERDS BEING REDUCED. NEW PLMOUTH, January 17. Owing to a great scarcity of labour throughout Taranaki, farming operations, road works and hush felling are hampered. In many instances dairy farmers are compelled to reduce the number of their herdß materially.
