Four infantry regiments and one brigade of artillery, returning from' Manchuria, fought a pitched battle to dislodge.the revolutionaries from Krasnoyarsk in Eastern Siberia. ' Reoeived January 16, 8 a.m. ST. rETERSBURG, Jan. 15. Owing to a deficit of 48 millions sterling and to an increase of expenditure, Russia's estimated expenditure for the current year is 52 millions above that.of last year. While M. Khonstoff, Governor of Cbernigoff, and his wife were driving home from the cathedral a bomb was thrown, which aeriously wounded M. Khonstoff and slightly injured his wife. Tbe criminal was arrested. A further discovery of bombs and been made at Riga.
