A DISASTROUS TANGLE. Recevied January 9, 11.16 p.m. NEW YORK. Jan. 9. Five American battleships leaving New York bay got into a tangle owing, it is supposed, to carelessness and excessive speed in the narrow fairway. The Kentucky and Kearsage went aground and the Alabama collided with and damaged the Kentucky and herself. The Kentuoky has been sent |to Brooklyn for repairs, and an enquiry has been or dered.
