THE KAISER AND THE CHURCH. Received January 8, 9.36 p.m. BERLIN, January 8. The Kaiser, in a sharp mandatory letter, urges the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Posen to counteract tbe propagation of revolution by propagating the principles of the Christian faith, deepening their foundations in the hearts of the young and securing the faithful performance of their duties towards the Church and State.
