STOCK SALES. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report that thoy held their opening sale at Eketahuna yesterday, when a full yarding of cattle was submitted, but no sheep oame forward. On the whole the quality was not good, and business at auution lacked animation. The bulk of the yarding was, however, subsequently sold by private treaty. Young steers were in demand, but no inquiry existed for heifers. Quotations: —'I'hree-year steers £3 10a 6d to £3 19s, 2-year steers £3 3s, yearling steers 30s to 365, yearling, heifers 27s 6d, cows and calves £3 17s 6d, dairy cows up to £5 2s 6d,
