BOWLING.
The 1 annual tournament of the Northern Bowling Association will commence in Wellington on Monday morning next. There will be representatives present from all the North Island clubs, and the Masterton Club are sending two rinks. Some of the players left Masterton yesterday afternoou, and the remainder will journey to Wellington this morning, as they are anxious to get a little practice on the grounds prior to the tournament commencing. The Masterton rinks are:— Messrs E. McßweJ, G. Townsend, W. J. Cochrane, C. Perry (skip), and W. Pragnell, H. T. Wood, R. Rigg, and O. Pragnell (skip), and as the teams are in good playing form they should render a good account of themselves. We notice by the drawings that on Monday Masterton will play Hutt, Remuera and Patea, on Tuesday Pahiatua, Stratford and Wellington, and Wednesday New Plymouth, Newtown and Green meadows. The following will represent the Carterton Bowling Club at the Tournament :~No. 1 rink: H. MoPhee, W. Whyte, A. Ramsay, W. Fisher (skip). No. 2 rink: W. Downard, A. Booth, J. Baillie, Dr Johnson (skip). The team will leave to-day.
