COLLECTING THE NATIVE TAX Received January 5, 9.11 p.m. CAPETOWN, January 5. Anticipating native opposition to the poll tax, some families in the outlying districts came into Maritzburg and the militia were held in readiness and the police strengthened. Tho families have now returned, and no trouble is expected, but Dinizulu is being carefully watched.
