- The man Lavington, who, on November 17, was arrested in Edinburgh on a charge ->f having obtained credit for over £SOOO-from the Bank of New Zealand by false pretences, was op the 20th brought up at the Mansion House, Loudon, ana remanded, the police stating that probably further charges would be preferred. It is understood, however, that the Bank of Net# Zealand will take no further steps in the matter seeing that they are covered by the securities which they bold. They will leave the matter in other hands.
