The green fly is doing considerable damage to the potato crop in this district, states *he North Otago Times. The green fly is distinofc from the potato blight, and although not so deeructivo it yet does a considerable amount of damage. The shaws curl up, and before long the loaves disappear, and the stem is about all that is left. The effeict that the green fly has on the potato ia that when the leaves disappear the tuber ceases growng, and consequently there is a lessened yield. This effect can be seen on a great many potato patches about Oamaru. Spraying with an insecticide is the cure, and this can be carried out inexpensively. No Competition. The uniform success of Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy for the relief and cure of bowel complaints both in children and adults has brought it into almost universal use, so that it is practically without a rival, and as everyone'who has used it knows, is without an equal.
