THE NORTH POLE.
ANOTHER ATTEMPT. Received January 2, 8.30 a.m. PARIS, January 1. A fund has been placed at the disposal of M. Wellman, the Arctic explorer, to build an airship at Paris under the supervision of M. Santos Dumont. The, airship, when completed, will be sent to headquarters at Spitzbergen, whence M. Wellman will start for the North Pole.
