HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION'S DANCE.
The Home & School Association's special "Shilling" dance, held in the school last Satui-day night was probably one of the most successful functions ever put on by the dance committee. The attendance just fell short of the two hundred mark, including, as usual, quite a number of visitors from outside the district. Extra novelty dances were included in the programme, and the "Statue" waltz, won by Miss N. Edwards and partner, was very keenly contested. Amongst the other prize-win-ners were Mr. and Mrs. C. Johnson (Film Star Novelty Fox Tx-ot), and Mrs. Fraser and partner (Monte Carlo). The ladies of the committee arranged an excellent supper, and the lxxusic pxovided by Mrs. Hix-schhox-n's orchestra, was xip to the usual high standard. The response to the effox-ts of the committee each week is very gratifying, and incidentally, the "extras" fund fox- the children attending the school is being very appx-eciably augmented.
