The local boys are now moulding- into a fine combination. The home players at once carried the play into the visitors' area where they pressed for some time. Hoey, the outside left, scored with a first time drive, soon after the same player adding- a second. The Anglican boys were always triers and their persistency was rewarded -when they scored twice making the score 2 all. B. Hoare receiving the ball at midway beat several of the visitox-s and from fifteen yards scored a beautiful goal. W. Goodwin, who played a good game, scored a nice g-oal, the whistle sounding with the score Upper Hutt United 4, Anglican Boys' Home 2. The local juniors are now playing splendidly and they have a good chance of winning the championship. The game between the local Seniox-s and Stop Out was played at Lower Hutt. United played a man short. Before a g-ood attendance of spectatoi-s United at once made an attack on the Stop Out g-oal and the local Seniors nearly scored on several occasions. It was galling to the United players when Stop Out in a couple of spox-adic raids scored 2 goals against the run of play. Both teams were now playing- a strenuous game and R. Wilkinson distinguished himself. Stop Out scored another- two goals against the run of play. J. Hamilton, junior - , was playing a fine defensive game and stopped many a determined rush by the Stop Out for-wai-ds. K. Bucknell, who played a splendid game, hooked a ball past the Stop Out g-oalkeeper, making- the score at the finish: Stop Out 4, Upper Hutt United 1. We would like to dx-aw the attention of committee members to the club meeting held the first Fx*iday in each month.
