POSTAL DELIVERIES.
The XJppez- Hutt "second delivery" commenced within the borough boundar- ; ies on Tuesday, the 10th instant. Wed- ; nesday being- the statutory half-holiday ; in this district the postmen take their I half-holiday on that day also therefore, j on Wednesdays, there will be only one delivery (in the morning), but corres- j pondence may be called for during the i afternoon of that day as hitherto. j There will be two deliveries on Satur- j days. - ! MAIL NOTICES. | Outward, close as follows: 7.30 a.m. j for Heretaunga and Wellington, and for- i ward; 8.45 a.m. for local delivery by postmen; 10.15 a.m. for Wellington and ! forward, including South Island; 12.15 p.m. for Wellington and forward and Main Trunk (this mail contains all correspondence for Palmerston North and north of that station) including Taranaki and Hawke's Bay; 1.15 p.m. for local delivery within the borough boundary on the north and Totara Street on the south; 4 p.m. for Wellington and forward; 4.30 p.m. for Wellington and forward (to connect with the Nelson mail it j is advisable to post by mail closing at 12.15 p.m.). j Inward, arrive office as under:—B.s | a.m. from Heretaung-a and Wellington; j 10 a.m. from Heretaunga and Wellington; 1.20 p.m. from Heretaunga and Wellington; 5.15 p.m. from Heretaunga and Wellington. ! Rural delivery, Upper Hutt, Whiteman's Valley, Wallaceville Service, close at this office as under: Mondays and Fridays at 1 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9 a.m. (Subject to alteration at holiday times.)
