THE DINNER.
In the evening, the Tapanui cricketers entertained the Switzers team and a number of friends at dinner in the Town Hall, Mr. H. N. Siru3on providing the repast in first-class style. Air. Neville (Captain of the Tapanui team) occupied the chair, and Mr. James Monaghan acted as croupier. After the usual loyal toasts had been disposed of, Mr. Neville proposed " The Visiting Team," Mr. Garvey responding. ■ ' Songs and toasts passed a couple of hours away very pleasantly, when the hall was cleared for dancing, which was kept up with great spirit until daylight, every one present expressing themselves delighted . with the evening l^ amusement .
