WARDEN'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., Warden.) Monday, Januaby 4th, 1875. Daviel Davis applied for a dam. — Granted. John Cowper applied for a residence area. — Adjourned to view the ground. Andrew Roseball applied for an extended claim near Munro's Gully, — Granted. Isaiah Pirn applied for an extended claim Tuapeka Flat. Mr. Copland for applicant. — Granted. Joseph Higgins withdrew his application for an agricultural lease of sections 21 and 29 block 111., Table Hill. Thomas Edward William's application for section 41, block 111., was granted excluding reserve of one chain along east side of Brushcr's Creek. The following persons'applied for an agricultural lease of section 38, block 111., Tuapeka W<»st : — Messrs. Harris, Humphreys, Holmes, Varcoe, Gerry, Alexander, Buchanan, Arthur, and Eobins for whom Mr. M'Coy appeared. It seemed that Mr. Robins was the only one who had posted notices at the corners according to the regulations ; he being the only one who was able to find the north peg. His Worship said that as all the others had done their best to find this peg, he would put them all on the same footing, they must either all ballot, or the land would be put up for sale by auction. — Adjourned for 14 days.
