It appears that no claim had been made on the defendant, until after tie time for appealing against the rates was passed, the collector erroneously thinking that the ground waa occupied by Mr. John Menzies senior, who, being a clergyman, was exempted. His Worship adjourned the case till next Court day, suggesting that the Corporation should be satisfied with rates as fixed on the appeal of the defendant for the present year. Holmes v.
