Herbert and others, trustees of the estateof the late Andrew Taylor, applied to transferthe license of the Hotel at Tuapeka to Mrs. Agnes Taylor. — No objection. Granted. Ah Hee applied for a slaughtering license. Mr. Copland for applicant. The matter should have been brought in the Court at Tokomairiro, and it was arranged that it would be heard there. Walker and Gascoigne v. Armstrong. — ■ Claim oF £11 Bs. lOd. Mr. M'Coy for plaintiffs. Judgment for the amount claimed and costs. Qardiner v. CapsticL — Claim £2 18s 8i for goods supplied. Mr. Grooiay for plaintiff j Mr. Copland for defendant. Judgment for £1 11s, and costs of Court 9s. Holmes v. Menzks. — Claim of £1 13s for back rates. Mr. M'Coy for defendant. It appears that no claim had been made on the defendant, until after tie time for appealing against the rates was passed, the collector erroneously thinking that the ground waa occupied by Mr. John Menzies senior, who, being a clergyman, was exempted. His Worship adjourned the case till next Court day, suggesting that the Corporation should be satisfied with rates as fixed on the appeal of the defendant for the present year. Holmes v. Ledgerwood. — Claim £1 10s for rates. The bill of particulars being faulty, the case was struck out. Holmes v. Lyng.—Yaid into Court. Gardner v. Munro. — Summons not re-* turned. Case struck out. Mr. Grooday for plaintiff ; Mr. M'Coy for defendant. Judgment for £4 4s lOd ; costs of court, £1 4s ; and Professional costs, £1 Is. Gardner v. North.— Claim £5 19s for goods, and board. Mr. Grooday for plaintiff ; Mr. M'Coy for defendant. Judgment for £1 12s \ costs of Court, 11s ,■ and professional costs, £1 Is.
