LAWRENCE HANDICAP, of 55 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas ; the second horse to receive amount of sweepstake. Nomination, with 1 guinea enclosed, to be received, by the Secretary up to 7 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 12fch January.' Weights lo bo declared in the Tuapeka Times o£ the 13 th, and the " Otago Guardian " of the 14th. Acceptances, with 2 guineas, together with sweepstake of 2 guineas, to bo received by the Secretary before 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening, January 20th, 1875. Distance, 1£ mile. DISTRICT HANDICAP, of 25 soys.; entrance, 305. ; twice round the course ; horses to bo bona fide property of owners 2 months prior to date of races, residing within 20 miles of Lawrence. FLYING HANDICAP, of 35 soys. Nomination, with 2 guineas entrance fee, receivable up to 7 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 20th January, 1875. Distance, 1 mile. HACK SELLING RACE, of 15 soys. Winner to be sold for 15 soys ; any surplus to go to the fund. Mile heats ; entrance, £1. Three horses to start, or no race. No weight under lOst. ; post entry. SECOND DAY. MEMBERS' HANDICAP, of 25 soys. Same conditions as District Handicap. 1£ mile; entrance, £1 10s. Entries to be made on night of genei'al entry. Weights to appear on the night of the first day's racing. TUAPEKA JOCKEY CLUB HANDICAP, of 75 soys., with a sweepstake of 2 guineas added ; the amount "accruing from sweep to be given to the second horse. Nominations, with 2 guineas, receivable up to 7 o'clock p.m. on the 20fch January ; weights to appear on the night of the first daj's racing, at nine o'clock ; acceptances, with 3 guineas, and amount of sweepstake, receivable up to 10 o'clock on the same evening. Distance, 2 miles. NOVEL RACE, a handicap of 50 sovb. Entrance, 2 soys. ; 1£ mile. Tho winner to be sold by auction with his engagements, and the whole of the proceeds to go to the funds. Weights to be declared on night of first day's racing. HACK RACE, of 10 sors. 1 mile heats ; catch weights. Three to start, or no race. Entrance, 155. ; post enlry. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 20 soys. ; f or all beaten horses ; distance, 1^ mile ; entrance, £1 10s. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31b. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programe shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races esccpted) unless both owner and nominator be subscribers to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at his office, up to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 20th January. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent., of the stakes. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. , Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protests should be sustained, the guinea to be returned. WM.
