THE LATE INQUEST. {To the Editor.)

Sib, — I expected some notice to have been taken in your last issue on the fact of the inquiry into the death of William Carr having been held in Lawrence, a distance of nearly two miles from the scene of the accident, although there was good accommodation for the inquest being held, either in the Golden Age Hotel or in the schoolhouse, Wetherstones. Ido not dispute for a moment the legality or otherwise of the action, but seeing the whole of the jury summoned, and the witnesses who had to give evidence were working men belonging ±o Wetherstones, I think it showed a great want of consideration on the part of the Coroner.— l am, &c, Ob 8 * web.
