{From our ovm Correspondent.) Dttnebin, September 1. It ia believed a man named Charles Burgess was drowned in the Harbor last evening. He was seen by another man a little ahead of him near the bridge - which crosses Andersons Bay to Vauxhall. The other man, named Wilks, looked round, and on again looking ahead Burgess had disappeared. On coming up to the bridge, he found his hat and coat at the edge of the water. No trace of the man or body have yet been, found. The Strathnaver, with 391 immigrants, arrived at Wellingten to-day ; and at Lyttelton, the Cathcart arrived with 478? the St. Lawrence with 404, and the Canterbury with 400. The Northern and Southern Escorts arrivd this evening with the following quantities of gold :—: —
