Dhe poles to be sawn from the heart of black pine, to be sound, straight, and free from shakes, knots, and Bap. The poles to be of the following dimensions, viz.: — Two hundred and seventy (270) to be twenty (20) feet long, and thirty (30) to be twentyfive (25) feet long ; all to be eight (8) inches square at the butt, and six (6) inches square at the top. N.B. — No poles will be accepted which contain tJie least sap. Each tender must be accompanied by a deposit of £10, as a guarantee of good faith, which sum will be forfeited should any tenderer refuse to sign the contract in the event of his tender being accepted. Each tender must enclose the names of two sureties for approval who are -willing to become bond for the due performance of the contract in the event of the lender being accepted, and must be accompanied by a notification to that effect, signed by the proposed sureties.
