Commercial.

Messrs Weight Stephensoh and Co. report -for the week ending 11th July, as follows :—: — Fat Cattle. — The number that came forward being only moderate, prices in consequeuce ruled a little higher. 56 head were yarded, chiefly of middling quality. We sold 16 head at from £4 10s to £9. We quote prime quality, 27s' Cd per lOOlba ; medium do, 18s to 20s. We also sold privately, for forward delivery, 120 head at prices equal to 30s per lOOlbs. Fat Calves. — We sold 8 at from 37s 6d to 50s each. Fat Sheep.— looo were penned, a number quite epual to the demand. We sold 400 merino wethers, good quality, at 12s to 12s 3d , 200 half-breds, little better than stores, at from 10s 6d to 11s. We also sold 350 merino wethers delivered on run, at 8s ; and 500 half-breds for forward delivery 3fd per lb.^ We quote prime quality half-breds, 3d t0~34 ; ditto merinoea, 2£d . Store Cattle. — No transactions Store Sheep. — Very little business is doing in this class of stock. We sold 750 crossbred lambs at 7s 6d, and 700 full-mouthed merino ewes at 5s 3d. We quote half-bred wethers, 2 and 4-tooth, 9s to 30s ; do ewes, 15s to 10s ; merino wethers, 6s to Gs 6d ; do ewes full-mouthed, 5s to 5s 6d. Horses. — The demand is gocd for heavy draughts, and strong coach or cab horses. Our sale on Saturday was mainly confined to dealers' lots. We quote first-class draughts at from £65 to £75 ; medium do, £30 to £45; good hacks and light harness -horses, £22 i 10s to £30 ; light and inferior, £4 to £S. Sheepskins.— At our weekly sale on Wednesday, we disposed of a considerable number ,at following prices : Butchers' green skins, merinoes 2s 7d to 2s lid ; cross-breds. 3s 5d to 3s Bd. Dry station skins, Is Id to 3s 10d ; according to quality, Hides.— We sold 118 at 15s for lightweights, and 17s to 21s for medium to heavy. Graiu.— The market remains unchanged, the chief cha> acteristic being steadiness. Wheat — Good samples are -worth 4s Gd to 4s 9d per bnshel '; prime Tuscan, ss. Oats have a good enquiry at 4s 2d to 4s 3d for feed,, and' 4s 5d -per 'bushel : for milling
