ARRIVAL OF THE ALBION WITH THE SUEZ MAIL.
Bluff, July 2nd. The Albion with the English mail on board, left Melbourne at 9 p.m on the 27th. She had head winds all- the passage, but made a rapid run of 4 days 16 hours, and arrived at the Bluff at 3,4 p.m. on the 2nd. AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melboubne, June 27th. A telegram states that flennessy commences Belling brandy at 200 francs per hectolitre. Salt has advanced, owing to the small supply shipped. The markets are dull. Flour ia lower. Oats are tirm ; stocks light. Sydney, June 27th, The Governor's minute on the Gardiner case confirms the intention to exile Mm. The matter is causing public dissatisfaction. Incessant rains continue in the coast disricts. The steamer Flintshire has been got off. She proceeds to Sydney for repairs. Most of the effects have been saved. London, June 24th In the House of Commons, Mr. Plimsolls Merchant Shipping Survey Bill wa^ defeated on the second reading by 173 to 170. The 'Government opposed the measure, stating that the Royal Commissioners' Reports were signed, and would be distributed shortly. June 25th. At the Merchant Tailors' banquet, Mr. Disraeli, in responding to the toast of " Her Majasty s Ministers," defended the Church as an institution of the country, and said a conservative policy was not a policy of inaction, but progressive improvement for the people. June 26th, The Archbishop of Canterbury's Bill for the prevention of ritualistic practices in the Church of England has passed the House of Lords. .
