London, May 14th. The Australian March mail was delivered on May 13fch. The Chilian authorities imprisoned the captain of an English coasting steamer which capsized with a number of Chilian passengers on board. The British Minister demanded the release of the captain, and an indemnity for the outrage. The Commandant of San Jose, Guatemala, owing to a quarrel with the British Vice-Consul, inflicted on the latter 200 lashes, and the arrival of the troops alone prevented his death. The Commandant was arrested on May 15th. The President of Guatemala Republic offered every reparation to England for - the outrage on the Vice-Consul. The prices' of wool are well sustained. Competition extremely vigorous. 200 bales of New Zealand hemp were withdrawn, £17 to' £2J only being offered. New* York, May J9th. A terrible calamity occurred at Gloton, Mass. A reservoir burst, causing the loss of 160 lives.
