WAITAHUNA ANNUAL PLOUGHING MATCH.

A public n&eeting was heid at CoghilTs Bridge Hotel, B[avelock, oa Friday, May Ist, to receive report of Committee- for last year and elect a Committee to carry out arrangements for. the year 1874 matcli^ Mr. E. Craig, junr., was called to the chair, and after explaining the object of the meeting, called upon the hoa. Secretary,, Mr. Moggath, to read the report. The report showed that after paying all expenses a balance of £3 2s. 6d. remained on hacd. On the motion of Mr. R. M.'Ar», th& report was received and adopted. On the motion of Mr. Ford, it was resolved to hold the match in the month of June, date to be fixed by Committee. On the motion of Mr. Moggath, the following gentlemen were appointed a Committee to carry out the arrangements in connection with the proposed match, viz.,: — Messrs. Kemp, Cairns, Ford, Coghill, M'Ara, R« Craig, jun., King, and Moggath. A vote of thanks to ijhs Chairman brought the meeting to. a close. At a, Committee meeting, Mr. Kemp in the chair, Mr. MoggaJh was appointed Secretary, and instructed to draw put subscription lists in time for next Com*nittee meeting, to- be held on Thursday, 7th inst. This brought the business of the meeting to a close.
