MAIDEN PLATE, of 20 soys. ; for all horses that never won public money over £10 ; distance, H mile ; weight for age ; entrance, 30s. BWITZERS' HANDICAP, of 50 soys. with a sweep of 2 guineas; the amount ; accruing from sweepstake to be given to tho second horse. Nomination, £2 25. ; acceptance, 1 guinea ; distance, 1 \ mile. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary, on or before the 20th February. Weights to be declared in the Tuapeka Times of 25th February. Acceptance to be sent to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 4th March. LADIES' PURSE, of 15 soys.,* 1 with a sweep of 1 guinea added, to be given to tho winning horse ; distance, 2£ miles ; entrance, 1 guinea. Gentlemen riders. HACK RACE, of 10 soys. ; mile heats ; the winning horse to be sold for £10, surplus (if any) to go to the race fund. No weight under 9st ; entrance, 20s. SECOND DAY. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE, of 25 soys.; distance, 2£ miles ; over nine flight of hurdles, 3ft. 6in. high. Nomination, 305.; acceptance, 1 guinea. DISTRICT HANDICAP, of 15 soys. ; distance, lfc mile: horses to be the bona fidt property of residents in the district for at least three months previous to the 4th March, 1874, and residing within 20 miles of Switzers' Post-office. Nomination, 1 guinea ; acceptance, 10s. Nominations to be sent in to the Secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 4th March. Weights to be declared at 9 p.m. on the sth March. Acceptance to be sent to the Secretary at the Crown Hotel not later than 10 a.m. on the sth March. CONSOLATION HANDICAP, of 15 soys. ; for all beaten horses ; distance, 1£ mile ; entrance, 20s. HURRY SCURRY HACK RACE, of 5 soys. ; mile heats. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31bs. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connef ted with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races excepted) unless the latter be qualified as the bona fide property of a subscriber to the race fund of not less than two guineas. Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Crown Hotel, Switzers, not later than 8 p.m. on the 4th March. Entrance money, enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, and name of the owner and color of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. The Dunedin Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced.
