[From our own Correspondent.) Dunbdin, Nov. 21, 7.52 p.m. The new Krsfc Church is to be opened on Sunday next by the Rev. Dr. Begg. The Appeal Court, Wellington, to-day quashed the conviction in the case of Robert Moore, who was tried at the July sessions of the Supreme Court, Dunedin, for personating R. B. Herriot at the Peninsula election. The team to play against the Auckland cricketers has been finally chosen, and oonsists of Allen, Clark, Downes, Garwood, Glenn, Lambert, M'Donald, M'Farlane, Mears (captain and wicket keeper), Robes and Thompson ; Johnston and Stafford, emergency men. The Albion arrived at the Bluff to-day with the English mails. In All-comers Rifle Match (Melbourne), Sydney has the top score. The 500 Yards Match was won by Melbourne ; 600 Yards Match, do., with score of 17; Goldie and Scott, 15 each. The small-bore trophy between Sydney and New Zealand is to be fired on the 16th instant.

FINANCIAL PANIC IN ENGLAND. London, November 12. A financial crisis is imminent, and a panic expected on the exchange. Great alarm exists among all classes. Bank of England discount 9 per cent., and expected to be increased to 10 within a day or two. A large amount of specie is being brought into the market to tide over the rush. The cause is alleged to be the failure of Jay Cooke & Co., of New Yor^ some time since, and a general disturbance in the American Money Market.
