Messrs." J. and A. Maclean report for the week ending 20th November, as follows :— Fat Cattle.— The weekly market was largely supplied on. Wednesday, 180 head being yarded, soite of which were o? very prime quality, but prices were a little easier, on ac- • count of the large number forward, about 40 head being turned out not sold. We sold a a lot of medium weight bullocks on account of Mr. R. Wallace, which realised from £8 7s 6d to £10 15s per head. We aJso offered a lot of really prime heavy weights from Cray, West Taieri, which brought from £12 5s up to £23. We quote prime quality beef at" from 27s ,6d to 30s per lOOlbs ; medium, from 22s t 6d to 255, but look for a slight decline in prices on account of the number coming forward. Fat Slice.p.-" About 50ft were penned, which brought from, 16s to Vta for crbss-breds in wool, and 10s6d for merinos. in wool. We quote prime half-breds, in 'wool, at 4d to 4id per lb ; shorn, 2d to 2£d'per lb ; merinos, in wool, 3id to 3|d f shorn 2d to 2*d. Fat Lambs. — -About 60 were penned, chiefly inferior, which realised from 6a 6d to 10s 9d ea h, according to. size. Store Cattle.— The demand for good wellgrown steers and heifers still continues, and for the nex^ month at least will go on steadily improving- in value. We beg to draw particular attention to. our next monthly sale at the West Taieri Yards, on Tuesday, the 25th instant, when we will offer, in lots to suit purchasers, 150 head of really first-class store bullockß, cows, and heifers. We quote good well-grown bullocks from £5 to £6 j cows and heifer^ from £2 15s to £i, according to size breeding, . Store Sheep. — We have no active sales to report this week, but have numerous enquiries for good young sheep of every description for delivery after shearing; and having a large number on hand for sale, most of which are at present offer, 'we anticipate closing fo* most of them within the next four days at the following prices, viz. : — Crops-bred, 2 and 4- tooth, from 8s to 9s ; cross-bred lambs, from 7b 6d to. 8s ; merino wethers, 6 and 8tootb) from 5s to 5s 6d ; merino ewes, from 3s to 7d, according to age, breeding, and place of delivery. Grain, — We have no alteration to make on i onr last week's quotations, viz., 5a 3d to 5s 6d ( for prime samples wheat, and 4s 6d to 5s for . medium and inferior. Capstigk, Dtjthib, and Capstiok report as follows for week ending' the. lßth ' November: — ' # : Store Cattle. — At our sale on tho 17th inst., , food steers brought £4 5s per head ; inferior 0., £2 10s ; heifers, from £2 to £4. Store Sheep. — About 700 merino wethers, in wool, were offered, but were withdrawn at 9s 3d. About 500 shorn cross-bred wethers were sold at 7s 6d.
