WARDEN'S COURT, LAWRENCE.

(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., Warden.) - Wednesday, 17th Sep. The following applications for agricultural leases were granted : — H. and J. M 4 Cay, section 3, block IV., Waipori ; J, M. M'Rae, section 61, block V., Tuapeka East ; John M'Alister, section 34, block VII., Waitahuna Eaat. The application of D. Stevenson for an agricultural lease of section 42, block V., Tuapeka Eaat, was refused, the hind being auriferous. -The following applications were adjourned for 14 days at the request of the applicant : — Robert Brownlie, sections 60, 56, and 50, block VII., Waitahuna East; R. Sutherland, sections 61, 62, and 64, block Vlf., Waitahuna East ; Jame3 Low, section 63, block VII., Waitahuna Eaat. The applications for residence areas by the undermentioned were refused, viz. : William Claringbold and Thomas Tyler. Timothy Kilcher's application for a residence area was granted. Applications for extended claims were granted as follows: — Jeremiah O'Leary. David 'Hunter and James Russell, and Ah Chow and Ah Sum. The application of Ah Lain for a tail- . race was granted. Wong Yew was fined sa. and costs, lls., for mining without a license. Simon Fahey's application for a residence area near the line of railway was adjourned, to enable the Warden to personally inspect the land as to the probability or otherwise of its being auriferous. The applications of Hugh M'Kee and Thomas Brunton for agricultural leases of sections in, block XIX. were also ad--journed, to enable the Warden to view the land, with a similar object to the last application, and to report to the Government the circumstances ancl for instructions as to the issue of the certificates. The following applications for agricultural leases were adjourned for survey :—: — .lohn Sutherland, section 7, block VI., Waitahuna East ; Soren Paaskerson, section 62, block V., Tuapeka East; William Simmonds, section 41, block 111., Tuapeka East ; Patrick Kean, section 23, block 111., Tuapeka East. In the latter case an objection had been lodged.

(Before E. H. Carew, Esq., Warden.) Wednesday, 24th September. Redden v. Anderson. — This was an applicatiou for a dissolution of partnership by plaintiff. The parties have been working together in a mining claim on the Tuapeka River. C. Redden gave evidence as to the mining property. The sluice boxes, tools, &c, he estimated as worth about £IQ. Ordered that the partnership be dissolved, a receiver appointed, and the property to be sold by public auction — Mr. Arbuekle to be appointed receiver. . The applications of the following for agricultural leases were granted, subject to the payment of the first half-year's rent, viz. : — Robert Brownlia, sections GO, 66, and 66, block VII., Wutahnna, East ; Alexander Sutherland, sections 61, 62, and 64, block Yd., Waitahuna East ; James Low, section 63, block VII., Waitahuna East. The applications of the following were adjourned for three weeks, viz. : — Andrew M'Laren (two applications), W. J. Dyer (two applications), James Johnstone, James Clelland (two applications), John Draper, Hugh Murray. The following applications were adjourned .for fourteen days : — Thomas Hinde, Charles Duncan, Daniel Tucker. The application by R. Forsyth for lease of section 24, block 111., Table Hill, was withdrawn. That of John Fitzgerald for sections 28 and 29, block VI., Tuapeka West, was objected to by P. Duffy and others, as it was desirable that a road should be kept . open through the land, to obtain access Ito bush for firewood, &o. Adjourned to enable the Warden to enquire of the surveyor about the road alluded to.
