THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Monday, August 11th. Mr. Rolleston moves a resolution, with reference to the Tariff, to the following effect : — That many of the duties proposed would heavily and unjustly tax the necessaries of the working classes, and articles required for local industries ; therefore the proposed scale should be revised, so aa to ajltnit suoh articles free or at lower duties.
